The Stretch Marks Reduction Treatment
Eporex Stretch Marks Reduction is the most effective non-surgical treatment to reduce and eliminate unsightly stretch marks by introducing vitamins, minerals and amino acids, directly to where new skin cells are being formed; providing the developing cells with the ingredients they need to restructure the skin from the inside-out.
The Problem
Weight or muscle gain caused by pregnancy and weight training are often the most common reasons why people develop stretch marks and these scars can be unsightly and indeed painful, causing concern which can affect your confidence and day to day life. Stretch marks typically appear when the skin is stretched at a greater rate than which is can regenerate; this stretching leading to first pinkish, then darkened lines on the skin which may later progress to almost permanent white stretch mark scars if untreated.
Why Stretch Marks Reduction Creams Don’t Work
Our skin has a natural barrier made up skin cells and lipids (mainly fats). This barrier is vital to protect the body from environmental damage. For example, if you wash the dishes you wouldn’t want your hands to absorb the dish water! The skin barrier is the reason why creams and ointments have a limited effect in reducing stretch marks. Some creams may incorporate ingredients which try to lessen this barrier but it cannot be removed, nor would you want it to be as it protects your body.
The EpoMeso Stretch Marks Reduction treatment delivers its active ingredient through the skin barrier and directly to where new cells are being created. The cells then use these ingredients to regenerate the tissue and normalize the skins’ colour.
How Does Eporex’s EpoMeso Treatment Work?
Eporex’s technology is based upon a large number of accredited studies and research in the field of physical mechanisms that increase the penetration and spread of active ingredients through the epidermis.
A variety of cosmetic ingredients are combined which include amino acids, vitamins, minerals and co-enzymes, and introduced into the tissue of the problem area where they each work to produce different affects in order to regenerate the tissue and diminish the stretch marks.
Eporex utilises a synergy of different techniques in order to successfully penetrate high concentrations of the ingredients beneath the epidermis.
Electro-Repulsion occurs within Eporex’s patented chamber when a positive charge is passed through its metal armatures. The ingredients are also positively charged, and as similar charges repel, so the ingredient molecules are repulsed and driven away from the chamber, towards the skin.
This skins’ barrier is overcome by the technique known as Electroporation. When an electrical current of between 0.5 and 1.5 volts is applied to the skin, a disturbance in the lipid structure occurs and tiny channels temporarily open up to allow molecules of a large size and weight to penetrate through the outer skin and lipids.
In addition, Eporex utilises Electro-Osmosis, which is a convective movement, which occurs when a pore is electrically charged, during the passage of ions with an opposite charge.
Also, the technique known as Electro-Incorporation occurs when small particles subjected to electrical pulses are forced through the corneous layer and deep into the skin.
Confirmed by Nobel Prize Winning Research
The Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2003 went to two eminent American researchers, Roderick MacKinnon and Peter Agre, and thanks to their study, “Vessels Dedicated to Transport of Water into Cells’’ it was possible to realise the existence of molecular vessels which enable the cellular membrane to let in or out vital substances (membrane proteins).
They found that the control of the crossing-over of ions and molecules through cell structures is regulated by chemical impulses that allow cell-cell contacts. These impulses appear to be ions or small molecules that induce a series of “cascade reactions” inside the cell, resulting in biochemical or metabolic reactions.
This research enabled scientists to understand quite how Eporex achieved the delivery of its ingredients and why the treatments were so successful at affecting the skin tissue.
How Do The Ingredients Work?
A number of ingredients are selected for the treatment and each has a different action helping the body to accelerate the regeneration of tissue in the treatment area and eradicating the stretch marks.
Zinc Gluconate is a mineral that is essential for the synthesis of collagen, a structural protein which gives firmness and strength to the skin, and accelerating the production of collagen helps to reduce stretch mark scars. Zinc is also required by a number of enzymes that are required to repair skin wounds.
Arginine hcl is an amino acid which is a key building block to repair damaged tissue, promoting healthy metabolism of the cells and maintaining youthful protein synthesis within cells.
Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine are known as branch-chain amino acids essential for the synthesis of a number of enzymes that aid in the process of collagen formation as well as tissue repair and reconstruction.
Carnosine and Methionine are amino acids and are powerful anti-oxidants that protects the cells and proteins from free radical damage, extending cellular life span, and are necessary for the production of healthy collagen.
Hydrolyzed Elastin is the protein that assures elasticity and firmness in the skin.
Cyclodextrin increases the effect and action of the other ingredients by encapsulating the molecules and holding on them, and then releasing them over time.
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) and Rutin become involved with a great number of processes which promote both the health of the cells and their longevity, collagen production and strengthening the walls of the capillaries.
Carnitine is an amino acid essential for a number of metabolic processes in the cells.
Taurine detoxifies, moisturises, and improves cell membrane stabilization and osmoregulation.
Folic Acid (Vitamin B) is essential for cell growth and reproduction.
Capric Triglyceride and Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) are antioxidants that protect the cells from free radicals and prevent the peroxidation of fats.
Proline and Lysine are amino acids which improve skin texture and aid collagen formation both being key ingredients within collagen.
Retinol (Vitamin A) helps repair the lower layers of the skin, working to increase cell turnover and exfoliation by stimulating cell production beneath the epidermis.
Hyaluronic Acid is important for the production of collagen by enhancing fibroblast proliferation; it helps retain moisture in the skin, promotes blood micro-circulation, the absorption of nutrients and maintaining normal metabolism of the cells.
The Cyclosystem Slow Release of Active Ingredients
The active ingredients introduced into the stretch marks area rest in what’s called the extracellular compartment, which are the gaps in between the cells. The cells then absorb the ingredients they need through a process known as osmosis. Normally, these ingredeints would then drain away within a matter of hours.
Combined with the EpoMeso stretch marks ingredients is Cyclodextrin which has been heralded as a breakthough in cosmetic science. Cyclodetrin has the ability to encapsulate and hold the molecules of the active ingredients and release them slowly over time. This means that the active ingredients are even more effective as they feed the cells in a more sustained way and the results are accelerated.
What’s the Treatment Procedure?
The ingredients are added to a bottle of conductive gel and thoroughly mixed. A sponge pad is placed behind the treatment area which helps to draw the ingredients into the skin. Eporex massages the formula into the affected area and you should feel a tingling sensation on the sponge pad area, but this should never be uncomfortable. The ingredients in the gel are absorbed beneath the skin and are utilised by the developing cells to regenerate the tissue. The excess gel is then removed to leave the skin feeling refreshed and revitalised.
Who is Suitable for Treatment and When Should I Start to See Results?
A full consultation is conducted prior to treatment and people with certain medical conditions may not be able to have treatment.
The EpoMeso Stretch Marks Reduction treatment is most effective for the more recent scarring caused within around two years, particularly scars which still have some pinkish colour to them. Older stretch marks and scars can be successfully treated after this time but the older the scar is, the more treatments may be required to remove it.
The number of treatments required to reduce and remove stretch marks depends on the age of the scar and also the number of scars to be treated. Some people find that their stretch marks can reduce greatly in just a couple of sessions; other people with severe cases may require a course or more of seven sessions. Each session lasts from 10-30 minutes, again depending on severity, number and size of scars to be treated.
